Water Resources

Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin

Diverse users, from plants to people, depend on the Potomac River, its tributaries, and associated land and groundwater resources. Sustainable management of the water resources across the multi-jurisdictional basin requires bridging social, political, and environmental differences. This is best achieved through regional cooperation and encouragement of comprehensive planning.

Planning

Planning is a necessary component of proactive sustainable water resources management. ICPRB participates in water resources planning efforts at the national, basin-wide, state, and local/regional levels.
