Walk in the Woods: From Field to Stream
June 7 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
What role do farmers play in protecting our streams in the Potomac watershed? Fox Haven Farm staff will show and tell how they manage water and soil responsibly on their farm and shop property. We will also learn about the edible wonders on the farm from Market Garden Manager, Matt Wilson. Don’t miss this fascinating “walk in the woods,” farm-edition!
Expect to walk about 1 – 2 miles on moderate terrain. Please come prepared for the weather.
This event is FREE but please register as space is limited, and in case of delays or rescheduling due to weather.
Address:
4855 Broad Run Rd, Jefferson MD 21755
(This is NOT the main learning center on Poffenberger Rd. The turn into the driveway is easy to miss. Please arrive with enough time to park and meet the walk leaders.)
This event is produced in partnership with the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin and Fox Haven Farm and Learning Center. It is part of the ICPRB’s Walk in the Woods series.
Each participant will be required to complete the following form (copies will be available at the beginning of the hike but we encourage you to bring a completed copy for each person in your party):
