For the past 14 years, thousands of volunteers have come together to support the Rock Creek Conservancy’s people-powered restoration efforts at the Rock Creek watershed through our annual Rock Creek Extreme Cleanup!

The 2024 Extreme Cleanup will kick off with numerous events on the morning of April 6th, followed by a fun community celebration for all at Fort Slocum at noon.

Cleanup events are hosted throughout the watershed all month long, with volunteers picking up litter (a visible form of stormwater pollution), enjoying time outside, and giving back to the community.

This annual event is hosted in partnership with the Alice Ferguson Foundation as a part of the Potomac Watershed Cleanup.
