Webinar: Where Does My Water Come From? The Potomac Basin and You
October 11 @ 7:00 pm - 8:15 pm
Event Navigation
Learn how Northern Virginia’s water is connected to each other and the land. Find out what is impacting our water supply.
Our water is not unlimited. Only 1% of the water on planet Earth is usable fresh water. Over six million people depend on the Potomac watershed for their water. The Potomac River and the Occoquan Reservoir are the main supply of water for WSSC, Washington Aqueduct, Loudoun, and Fairfax Water which also supplies Prince William Service Authority and American Water. Join us as we explore where Northern Virginia’s water comes from and how decisions such as land use affect our water supply.
This is the second webinar of a two-part series, Your Water in Northern Virginia. The first webinar, Improving Our Water Quality in Northern Virginia, will be presented via Zoom on October 4th at 7pm.
