Volunteer Tree Planting

April 27

Deforestation in the Chesapeake Bay watershed has led to severe stream bank erosion, sedimentation, runoff pollution, and exasperated flash floods; all resulting in poor of water quality and steam health. These trees will create a forest buffer to conserve and protect the Monocacy River, a drinking water source for over 75,000 residents in Frederick.
