Hosted by the Washington Rowing School, Port Towns Community Boathouse in Bladensburg, MD. Each year in August we invite the Community to enjoy the Anacostia River while learning to row. We end the month with a race in 8 person boats organized by community. Try something new – bring a friend and make new ones!
This is an adult program. Youth are welcome if accompanied by a participating adult. Rowers attend as many practices as they are able. Contributions are gratefully accepted and will support our community programs.
No experience or athletic ability necessary. We offer 6 practices a week to accommodate a range of schedules.
