Your
participation in issues related to your watershed is important.
One of the best ways to get involved is to find community based
local watershed organizations in your area. Local watershed groups
emphasize programs based on single streams or small watersheds.
In order to facilitate the process of helping
you find these groups near where you live, ICPRB has created an
interactive mapping feature which helps you to find your watershed,
and therefore watershed organizations which may benefit the most
from your help. ICPRB has subdivided the Potomac River Basin into
14 sub-watersheds, with each sub-watershed named for the largest
two or three streams within that sub-watershed, as shown in the
picture to the right.
Before using the mapping application, please
ensure your browser is java script capable, and you have maximized
your browser window.
