District of Columbia Agencies
The DC Department of Health Environmental Health Administration oversees the prevention and control of environmental related diseases and the protection and preservation of the ecological system of the District of Columbia. Programs include stormwater and sediment control, pollution prevention, water quality monitoring, and the Source Water Assessment Program (SWAP) for the Potomac Watershed.

Maryland Agencies
The Maryland Department of the Environment protects and restores the quality of Maryland's air, water, and land resources. The Department works to ensure that we achieve the State's environmental goals while fostering economic development, safe communities, and environmental education.

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources inspires people to enjoy and live in harmony with their environment, and to protect what makes Maryland unique -- its treasured Chesapeake Bay, its diverse landscapes and its living and natural resources.

Pennsylvania Agencies
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is charged with maintaining and preserving the 116 state parks; managing the 2.1 million acres of state forest land; providing information on the state's ecological and geologic resources; and establishing community conservation partnerships with grants and technical assistance to benefit rivers, trails, greenways, local parks and recreation, regional heritage parks, open space and natural areas.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection's mission is to protect Pennsylvania’s air, land and water from pollution and to provide for the health and safety of its citizens through a cleaner environment.

Virginia Agencies
The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation works to conserve, protect, enhance, and advocate the wise use of the Commonwealth's unique natural, historic, recreational, scenic and cultural resources.

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality is dedicated to protecting Virginia's environment and promoting the health and well-being of the citizens of the Commonwealth.

West Virginia Agencies
The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection works to protect and restore the environment of West Virginia from degradation of any type.

The West Virginia Department of Natural Resources manages the wise use of West Virginia's natural resources.
