The U.S. Department of Agriculture's mission is to enhance the quality of life for the American people by supporting production of agriculture.

Natural Resource Conservation Service's mission is to provide leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, improve, and sustain our natural resources and environment. Its programs include Conservation Reserve Program(CRP), Watershed Surveys and Planning, Research Conservation and Development (RC&D), Small Watershed Program, and Wetlands Reserve Program.

The Environmental Protection Agency mission is to protect human health and to safeguard the natural environment — air, water, and land — upon which life depends.

The Environmental Protection Agency Region 3 Office is responsible for the implementation of federal environmental programs in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration works to describe and predict changes in the Earth's environment, and conserve and wisely manage the Nation's coastal and marine resources.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District provides design, engineering, construction, environmental and real estate expertise to a variety of important projects and customers. This support spans across five states, the District of Columbia, overseas, and across the Susquehanna, Potomac and Chesapeake Bay watersheds.
