is the unique regional partnership that's been directing and
conducting the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay. Provides
comprehensive information on the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
Also provides access to scientific data and publications.
US
Fish and Wildlife Service Chesapeake Bay Field Office
biologists work to protect endangered and threatened species,
migratory birds, freshwater and anadromous fish, and wildlife
habitats in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland and
Virginia.
The
US Geological Survey Chesapeake Bay Region information
on USGS activities in the Chesapeake Bay watershed and its
involvement in the Chesapeake Bay Program.
Virginia's
Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Department, a cooperative
program between state and local government, aimed at reducing
non-point source pollution. Its programs include Agriculture,
Local Government Assistance, Grants, and GIS.

explains Virginia's role in fulfilling its obligations to
the Bay Agreement.
The
Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is a regional nonprofit
organization that builds and fosters partnerships for the
restoration of the Bay and its rivers. It believes that cooperation
between informed and active citizens is the best foundation
for the Bays future. The Alliance has offices in Maryland,
Virginia, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania.
The
Chesapeake Bay Commission (CBC) is a tri-state legislative
commission created in 1980 to advise the members of the General
Assemblies of Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania on matters
of Bay-wide concern.
The
Chesapeake Bay Foundation helps protect the Bay's resources
by fighting for strong and effective laws and regulations,
restoring habitats through hands-on projects, increasing public
awareness of Bay issues, and involving community members in
restoration projects. In addition to its headquarters, CBF
has offices for the states of MD, PA, and VA.
The
Chesapeake Bay Trust works to provide grants for Maryland
nonprofit organizations, community associations, civic groups,
schools and public agencies to promote public awareness and
participation in the restoration and protection of the Chesapeake
Bay and its tributaries
Chesapeake
Wildlife Heritage (CWH) is a private nonprofit organization
dedicated to creating, restoring, and protecting wildlife
habitat, and establishing a more sustainable agriculture,
through direct action, education and research, in partnership
with public and private landowners.
