The US Department of Agriculture Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) is a voluntary program for agricultural landowners. Through CRP, you can receive annual rental payments and cost-share assistance to establish long-term, resource conserving covers on eligible farmland.

The US Department of Agriculture Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) is a voluntary program for agricultural landowners. Unique state and federal partnerships allow you to receive incentive payments for installing specific conservation practices. Through the CREP, farmers can receive annual rental payments and cost-share assistance to establish long-term, resource conserving covers on eligible land.

The Maryland Department of Agriculture Office of Resource Conservation oversees a range of programs, including the state's nutrient management law, to help farmers balance farm productivity with the need to protect our soil and water resources-- especially the Chesapeake Bay.

The Pennsylvania Bureau of Farmland Preservation oversees the program to purchase agricultural easements and administers legislative programs designed to preserve farmland through the State Agricultural Preservation Board.

The Conservation Technology Information Center is a national, nonprofit public-private partnership working to promote soil and water quality and equip agriculture with affordable, integrated management solutions.
