Anacostia Watershed Steward Program

The Anacostia Watershed Steward Program is an effort to provide recognition and support to businesses interested in reducing the amount of non-point source pollution going into the Anacostia river. The process of being recognized as a Watershed Steward is simple:

Step one: download and read our free guide - The Non-point Source Pollution Handbook for Businesses (5.5 mb pdf file) or request a copy by calling 301-984-1908x103 or email steward@icprb.org.
Step two: Complete the self-evaluation in the booklet (see pages 4-7).
Step three: Use the information and resources in the booklet to set your business goals.
Step four: Take advantage of our help - follow up by requesting that an ARBC representative do a confidential site visit and advise you of positive steps that you and your business can take.
Step five: Apply to be recognized as an Anacostia Watershed Steward (600kb pdf file).

When you complete these actions we will recognize your business's accomplishments and help promote the good work that you are doing. Becoming a Steward will not only reduce pollution and instill employee pride, it will also provide positive publicity for your business!
